Kansas City Futbol Club (KCFC) was crowned U13 champion at the Border Battle Tournament after finishing unbeaten at the top of the group.
While lifting the trophy was a great achievement, the primary objective of the tournament was development. Our coaching staff intentionally used the competition to provide valuable minutes to different players within the age group, expanding competitive exposure and accelerating growth through real-game experiences.
Throughout the weekend, our boys demonstrated clear progress—particularly in their understanding of the game. Improved decision-making, better positional awareness, stronger transitions, and a deeper tactical comprehension were evident in every match.
At KCFC, long-term player development remains the priority. This championship is a reflection of a process that continues to build intelligent, confident, and complete players.

Our 2013–2014 White team delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious Elite 120 College Showcase, advancing all the way to the final after a strong group stage where we earned 6 points with two wins and one loss. The team showed discipline, character, and a clear playing identity throughout the tournament, competing with confidence against high-level opposition. In the championship match, we faced Hummers in a demanding and intense game, ultimately falling 1–3 despite a determined effort from start to finish. While we came up short in the final, finishing as runners-up reflects the growth, resilience, and competitive mentality of this group, and this experience will undoubtedly fuel their continued development moving forward.

With 17 players, including five national guests, Kansas City FC's 13/14 White team will be competing starting next Saturday, February 14, in the upcoming President's Day Invitational, which will be played in Dallas and its metropolitan area.

With a total of 5 teams, 60 athletes, 19 games played, 8 guest players, 2 finals, and one championship, this is the outcome for the Winter Magic club. It was a great experience for our members and guests. Finalist team: 15-16 Silver, Champion team: 13-14 Silver.

This weekend we'll be participating in the Winter Magic tournament. We'll be there with five teams from the 2011-2012, 2013-2014, and 2015-2016 age groups. In the group stage, which runs from Friday, January 16th to Monday, January 19th, our club will play 15 matches. The finals will be on Monday afternoon.

Our club's app is now available in the App Store. It will provide more detailed and accurate information to all our athletes and their families. You can download it here:
